The Cashen Course, the second course at Ballybunion, opened in 1981 and was designed by none other than Robert Trent Jones Senior and presents yet another beautiful test of golf.

Tralee Golf Club was designed and built by Arnold Palmer, this stunning setting represents a true paradise for those willing to challenge what is widely acclaimed as one of the finest links courses in the world. Smitten at first sight, Palmer would later go on record with this memorable quote: “I may have designed the first nine, but surely God designed the back nine”. It comes as no surprise to learn that, due to the majestic beauty of this setting, Palmer chose it to be his first and, arguably, his finest golf course in Europe.

Doonbeg’s links course was designed by two-time British Open Champion, Greg Norman. Set along 1.5 miles of crescent-shaped beach, it was designated as Golf Digests “Best New International Course” in its opening year. Heralded around the world, Doonbeg Golf Course offers spectacular ocean side play amid towering, centuries-old dunes.

This is a true links course with slick greens, tightly mown fairways and wispy rough that looks easier than it plays. Scoring well is very wind dependant but shaping shots and learning how to hit the low drives will always help players who wish to step onto a links course. Lahinch Golf Club is frequently referred to as “the St. Andrew’s of Ireland” because of its close proximity and interaction with the local village. The links is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The combination of bracing air and wind from the sea is one of the enduring attractions for golfers who ply their skills on two magnificent championship courses – the Old Course measuring 6950 yards and the Castle Course, measuring 5556 yards.

The Old Course is frequently ranked as one of the best in the World and is a firm favourite of Phil Mickelson. The course was originally designed by Old Tom Morris before being tweaked by Dr Alister Mackenzie shortly before he traveled to America to design Pebble Beach and Cyprus Point.
