This year marks the 150th Anniversary of The Open Golf Championship and it is only right that St Andrews has the honour of hosting the tournament.
We have a number of hospitality options available for this years Championship.
There is the Sportsman’s dinner on the Wednesday practice day, where past Open champions will be playing an exhibition game in the afternoon over 4 holes of the Old Course. After watching what will be one of the most memorable golfing occasions of recent times guests will have dinner in the Links Restaurant with guest speaker and past Open winner Tony Jacklin will provide after dinner entertainment.
During the four days of the championships there are a number of options and locations to appeal to all tastes. The Road Hole Fine Dining Restaurant is a must-visit gourmet destination for all food lovers. Located on the top floor of the Old Course Hotel with spectacular panoramic views over the world's most famous golf course, the Old Course and the beautiful east coast of Scotland, the restaurant with its dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows and an open deck is the most attractive place to watch the world's best golfers take on the renowned Road Hole. Packages here will involve a sumptuous luncheon and delicious afternoon tea buffet.
Do not miss the opportunity before lunch to visit the Road Hole Bar, awarded Whisky Bar of the World 2008 in 'Icons of Whisky'. Located on the top floor of the hotel near the restaurant, the bar has amazing panoramic views of the Old Course. Sample a single malt from its famous collection of over 200 whiskies, savour a glass of champagne or sip on a cocktail, as you sink into one of the luxurious leather chairs.
The world famous Old Course Hotel will host many of the players at The Championship and there is also an opportunity for hospitality guests to be entertained at The Official Open Championship hotel. Bordering the renowned 17th hole of the Old Course, the hotel is set in a spectacular location overlooking the famous links courses, the West Sands beach and the beautiful Scottish coastline.
With a combination of classically elegant and contemporary interiors, the hotel offers luxurious facilities and a warm welcome in the finest Scottish traditions. You can choose from a range of the hotel's ground floor private rooms or take a table in one of the restaurants. Enjoy a friendly welcome and golfer's breakfast to tee off your day at The Open. Return for a three course lunch accompanied by fine wines and later on, an afternoon tea buffet featuring the best of Scottish produce.
Packages within the Hospitality Village will enable you to follow your favourite player on the links and then retire to the comfort and sanctuary of the hospitality Clubhouse, with informal areas for eating and relaxing throughout the day. Guests will get an opportunity to hear from a golfing great at some point during the day, get their autograph or pose for pictures.
Choose from the a la carte menu or keep coming back to graze from the scrumptious tapas style menu selection. The food will be inspired by Scotland's wealth of flavoursome produce and her long association with France. The executive chef will take traditional dishes and serve them with a contemporary twist. A full wine list and a fully stocked bar is also available.
With direct access to The Championship golf course, the Hospitality Village is the perfect setting for your day at The Open.
Hosted by the professional events team, the village is close to the action and the place to see the world's best golfers. Packages include full day hospitality from a classic golfer's breakfast to a magnificent three course lunch, followed by a traditional Scottish afternoon tea and of course, full service bar is available throughout the day. You can choose to enjoy The Open Championship in one of the restaurants or in the privacy of your own chalet if you prefer something more exclusive.
